About Us

General Info

The Nottingham Ice Racing Club (NIRC) is Nottingham's short track speed skating club. 

We have all abilities from novice children to Olympic athletes; whether you are wanting only recreational experience or to train and compete at a high level, all are encouraged.

The club is supported and staffed by an all-volunteer group of parents and skaters. Our home is in the National Ice Centre (NIC) in Nottingham.

Training Information

 Regular club skating is held on:

Day                Time                                  Location

Monday          8:30 pm to 9:30 pm           Arena

Fridays            7:45 pm to 8:45 pm          Arena

Saturday          12:30 pm to 1:30 pm        Public Pad


Other sessions are arranged on an adhoc basis, and are shown on the monthly training program.

Please check the training program to see if any sessions are cancelled, or occasionally times are altered.

Costs

For members: 
The cost of each session is £8.00.
Skate hire is £1.00.

For non-members:
The cost of each session is £9.00.
Skate hire is £1.00.

All fees must be paid before the session.
