About Us

General Info

The Nottingham Ice Racing Club (NIRC) is Nottingham's short track speed skating club.

We aim to provide an environment where anyone interested in short track speed skating can learn in a safe enjoyable atmosphere.

We have all abilities from novice children to Olympic athletes; whether you are wanting only recreational experience or to train and compete at a high level, all are encouraged.

The club is supported and staffed by an all-volunteer group of parents and skaters. Our home is in the National Ice Centre (NIC) in Nottingham.

We promote a fun, friendly, family atmosphere and aim to inspire and motivate all to reach their potential while promote good sportsmanship.

Regular club skating is held on:

Day Time Location

Monday 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm Arena (Starts again in September)

Fridays 5:45 pm to 6:45 pm Public Pad

Saturday 7:30 am to 8:30 am Public Pad

Other sessions are arranged on an adhoc basis, and are shown on the monthly training program.

Please check the training program to see if any sessions are cancelled, or occasionally times are altered.

Costs

For members:
The cost of each session is £14.00
Skate hire is available

All fees must be paid before the session, or by bank transfer soon after the session
